Design And Implementation Of Book Information Service System Of Community Library

Community library as an important part in the public library system, in recent years, got the attention of the relevant government department. In the cooperation of local governments and departments, the community library got unprecedented development, the scale of the community library and the amount of books in library is become growing. Traditional books management system mainly supervise and control the process of borrowing and returning of books, community residents can not know some relevant informations about the books in the library, such as book category, brief introduction of book, author information, the degree of the received attention about the book, etc.; When readers borrow books they must find books on the book shelf, then choose the appropriate books to borrow; this is not conducive to book keeping, shorten the life of books, but also increase additional work load of librarian.Aimed at the above disadvantages of the community library, in this article a book information service system of community library was designed and implemented which is suitable for the kind of community library system with small scale. Based on JSP technology, using MyEclipse9.0 as a development tool, selecting SQL Server2005 as database management system and Tomcat as server support,adopting B/S mode, the system implemented book review. book recommendation, book information seaching, book information browsing, and publication of comment on books at the foreground service function; the system also implemented background management functions, such as, classification of book, addition and modification of book information; and finally, the system implemented the systematization of book information service, improved the efficiency of the management of books, can make better service for the community.
