Wireless sensor networks(WSNs)is a multi-disciplinary research area,involved in several fields sush as signal processing,information theory,statistical estimation and inference,and artificial intelligence etc.Localization is a fundamental technology in the application of WSNs.Due to the complex and hostile environment,WSNs is vulnerable to attacks.Based on the risk of localization algorithm in WSNs,two secure localization algorithms are proposed combined with the characteristics of WSNs.The main innovations and work include the following aspects:1.The theoretical knowledge of WSNs is summarized,including the structure,network characteristics and key technologies of WSNs.The localization algorithms of WSNs and their secure risks are introduced in detail.Secure requirements for localization in WSNs are described.The typical attacks of wireless sensor networks and the influence on the localization process are analyzed.The basic principles of the current secure location algorithms are discussed.The existing secure localization algorithms are summarized,classified and compared.2.In order to verify the security of the beacon nodes,a secure localization algorithm based on iterative voting is proposed.In the algorithm,the coordinate information exchange is replaced by the distance exchange,which reduces the possibility of the information leakage of the beacon nodes.The coordinates of other beacon nodes are calculated with three beacon nodes as the reference nodes.Based on the localization error,the beacon nodes are voted iteratively.Based on the result of the vote,the unknown nodes are located by three beacon nodes,which have gotten the maximum number of votes,so the localization accuracy of the unknown nodes would be improved.3.Based on the analysis of the wormhole attack,a hidden wormhole attack is described.A secure localization algorithm against wormhole attack is proposed.In the algorithm,the reception and transmission of packets are recorded in the monitoring area by using the monitoring nodes.If the source node and destination node of packets are same in two adjacent monitoring areas,there should be hidden wormhole attack between the two nodes.The proposed secure localization algorithm resists the hidden wormhole attack effectively and improves the localization accuracy of DV-hop.4.Different simulations of the proposed secure localization algorithms are designed.The simulation results show that the secure localization algorithm based on iterative voting can ensure the localization accuracy of the large proportion of malicious nodes.Secure localization algorithm against wormhole attack can resist wormhole attacks including the hidden wormhole attack effectively.It ensures that the DV-hop algorithm has the small localization error in the wormhole attacks.
