Power supply networks is the most important part of power system, which determines whether the power grid can operate safely and stably, and therefore the study of intelligent substation is particularly important. The design of intelligent substation is completed mainly by the mutual cooperation of software and hardware in computer science, and a centralized monitoring system of the substation will be established. The establishment of the system is able to make the supervisor real-time control the equipment operating conditions of jurisdiction substation, to implement the summary of information on equipment operation distinguished by category, station and voltage level, to prompt warning and remote control through various means such as color, sound and text, and to provide substation's current operating conditions as well as equipment telemetry information under fault or abnormal conditions to the supervisor quickly and accurately.In order to meet the demand for smart grid, a centralized monitoring system is designed in this paper, which is mainly divided into three parts, namely field equipment, communications and management. Field equipment conducted the set-up of intelligent field devices, realized the collection of on-site information,and designed reactors for reactive power compensation and temperature protection control circuit for transformer. Communication layer enables communication between the field and the main station, in order to achieve the exchange and management of information. The design of management system is able to meet the overall monitoring by the staff.This article also studied restore power to the non-fault region when the distribution network malfunction, mainly used the advantage of Genetic Algorithm when dealing with transmission network fault recovery reconstruction,and effectively restore power for non-fault region by combining with HeuristicAlgorithm, finally, obtained the feasibility of the combination of algorithms by the simulation of examples.
