Air preheater heat transfer element is a core component of the rotary air preheater, and it is also the main factors to determine the rotary air preheater leakage rate, service life and reliability. The development of the heat transfer component production line with high reliability, cost-effective and high degree of automation is of great significance because of the production line of heat transfer components in China is still in the initial stage. Aiming at the problems in the automatic production of air preheater heat transfer components, the continuous working position punching automatic control system with high efficiency, high degree of automation, strong versatility is designed in this paper. The system can achieve the automatic detection of workpiece, automatic up and down material and automatic punching process, it can also reduce labor cost and improve production efficiency.The overall design scheme of automatic control system for continuous punching was ascertained firstly with the design requirement of the rotary air preheater and the development status of the punching automation technology and its related areas. The overall scheme mainly include the hardware design, the control strategy and software design and the kinematic simulation and trajectory planning. The system hardware design mainly includes the system control scheme design, the select of the controller,the design of the actuator, the design of automatic controller coordination mechanism and the design of the upper control system. The system control strategy and software part include the program design method of the automatic continuous punching control system, the system process design, the programming of the control system and the programming of the upper control system. The kinematic simulation and trajectory planning of the automatic control system for continuous punching was finished by constructing the kinematic model with the Robotics Toolbox.According to the simulation results and system parameters, after calculating, the result solves: the automatic continuous punching control system designed in thispaper not only meets the process requirements of heat transfer components, improve the production efficiency, but also greatly reduce the human cost of enterprises,improve the competitiveness of the products.
