Locomotive control software is the core of the whole system of the locomotive. The performance of the control software directly affects the using effect of the whole locomotive. The good quality of the control software is the guarantee of the performance of the whole locomotive. Excellent software can greatly increase the competitive advantage of the whole locomotive. It shows that usually the bad quality of the control software is not due to technical ability, but the defects and loopholes of management.In this paper, a case of certain type of locomotive control software development project is analyzed based on the knowledge and theory of project management. The control software development process and organization structure are focused and typical examples of the development are chosen to get various factors which influence the quality of the software. Then sevrel methods are provided to improve the quality of locomotive control software development project.Firstly, the background and characteristics of a certain type of locomotive control software development projects are introduced. From the development process and organizational structure of the project, and from the development and overall quality performance, several typical management problems are raised. Secondly, the quality management theory, especially the theory of software quality management, is studied and analyzed. The management problems of the control software development project, such as irrational organization structure and the loopholes in the process, are identified. Finally, some methods such as adjusting the team structure, improving develop procedure are provided to improve the project quality management of locomotive control software development. |
