Electrical capacitance tomography is the process imaging technologies, its principle is to detect the objects in the pipeline, the capacitance value obtained through the electrode, and then the spatial distribution of an object is calculated. ECT has the advantages of low price, safety, simple structure, and the detection process of non invasion, has a wide range of potential industrial applications, for the measurement of multiphase flow problem, ECT technology has great advantages. ECT technology mainly includes two aspects of forward and inverse problems, its successful application depends mainly on the inverse problem, i.e. image reconstruction, since the limiting conditions of nonlinearity and “soft-field” nature, so the accuracy of the reconstructed image is greatly affected for ECT system, so it is the key for electrical capacitance tomography to explore good image reconstruction algorithms. This paper conducts the research on ECT system of 12 electrodes, analysis and comparison of various types of image reconstruction algorithms, combined with image fusion technology, the accuracy of the final image is improved. The main work of this paper includes the following contents:Firstly, combined with the research background, the research significance of the subject for the relevant discussion, and the research status at home and abroad and the future development trend of comprehensive research.Secondly, studied the composition of ECT system structure, and analyzes each component, based on the mathematical model and the sensitivity distribution function of electrical capacitance tomography system, analysis the basic principle of ECT system, laid a theoretical foundation for solving the inverse problem.Again, the different image reconstruction algorithms are introduced in detail, and the scope of application, advantages and disadvantages of each algorithm are summarized. At the same time, considering the characteristics of ECT systems and image reconstruction algorithms, using image fusion technology, applied PCA technology combined with wavelet transform for image fusion.Finally, analysis and design of the various parts of the overall experiment, By using three kinds of experimental fusion fusion method, PCA transform and wavelet transform, this paper proposed based on the combination of PCA and wavelet transform fusion method, and the fusion rules based on the average weighted operator and local energy are used to deal with the low frequency and high frequency parts separately. By the analysis of experimental results shows that the proposed fusion method is better than the typical PCA and wavelet fusion method.
