Along with the development of Internet,the technology of P2P(Peer-to-Peer) has become one of the fastest developing network application.Interrelate dinvestigation indicates that P2P traffic has take up 60% to 80% of the total Internet traffic stealthily,it became the killer application of BroadBand Internet.P2P Traffie played a huge role in the Internet Promoting.The same time,it has also brought occupation and resources over the network congestion and safety problems.P2P traffic occupy the most network bandwidth.While enjoying the convenience of P2P,we also consider the problem of P2P traffic detection and control. So,the implementation of management P2P traffic has become a Problem need to be resolved immediately.The main researeh work presented in this paper is under the background of this,fully considering the charaeteristies of current network.The main contents are listed as following:1) We studied in P2P technolog, introduced the concept of P2P technology, P2P network topology model,features of P2P technology,Protrocol of P2P technology,application of P2P technology,problems and development.2) We analyzed the problem in the identification of P2P traffic,researched several kind of present solutions in P2P traffic identification,analyzed their features and problems in the identification proeess.At the same time,introduced several policies of traffic control and management..3) We presented a newly P2P traffic monitoring project due to the shortcomings of the present P2P traffic monitoring project,taken traffic feature identification and deep packet identification in the new project.The new project overcome the disadvantages of present solutions in P2P traffic identification.So it has efficiently improved the recognitionrate of P2P traffic identification.4) This paper designed and implemented a P2P Traffic Detection and Control Prototype System, which can be an effective detection and control. We test the new P2P traffic identification solution and analyzed its scalability on our test environment.
