Infrared thermal imaging detection technology is a new nondestructive testing technology. Due to its characteristics of non-contact, large detection area, efficient, it is widely used in aviation, aerospace, petrochemical, electric power and other fields. With the development of the application, the original infrared thermal imaging detection system cannot meet the requirement of rapid detection, automatic detection, portable testing and so on. It is of great significance to design an integrated infrared thermal imaging detection method and system which is simple, fast and reliable.Based on the theory of infrared thermal imaging and detection principle, an integrated infrared thermal detection system which consist of exciter, infrared thermal imager and embedded industrial computer is put forward. The exciters of the integrated infrared thermal detection system designed are hot air blower and electromagnetic induction. The exciting and infrared video acquisition are designed working synchronously for the exciter and the infrared thermal imager can be triggered by external signal. A touchable and displayable host computer designed base on EVOC board and power detection and protection of its battery been designed also. A new software is developed using Visual C++.NET based on the infrared thermal imager software. The software is consist of the file handle module, display module, synchronization module, the video conversion module, edge detection module and parameter setting module. Each module runs interactional in the graphical interface. For the actual use of the plane and line excitation, the effective incentive area and the method of image reconstruct has studied.The synchronization and every module of the system can be preferable achieved after the repeating experimental testing and design modifications, and this paper will offer a reasonable reference and practical application value in the design field of portable infrared thermal imaging detection system.
