With the rapid development of smart cards, which have been widely used in various areas of daily life. As the smart card stores the user's private information, therefore it has important implications for the security of smart cards. As a representative of public key cryptography, because of RSA's safety so that it's widely used in smart cards. However, the smart card's attacks continue to emerge, the Fault sensitivity analysis attack is newly proposed. FSA from a proposal to now has been considerable development, only a small amount of attempts it can be a smart card key to decipher. So the study of FSA against RSA and defensive measures to achieve targeted smart card security has important implications.First the RSA algorithm for encryption and decryption processes are analyzed, and carried out a detailed study to fault sensitivity analysis. And analyzing the characteristics of the circuit chip, we found that the L-R modular exponentiation has the different sensitivity between sensitivity modular multiplication process and square modulus of error the clock frequency. This feature is found to comply with the conditions of FSA, choosing a specific error injection program?location fault injection?access to sensitive information and key cracking process are gived. In order to defense FSA, we analysis the success of their attack, we proposed three defensive countermeasures: First, Modular exponentiation algorithm based on masking plaintext; Second, Power balance technology; Last, Random index modular exponentiation.Obtaining sensitive information by mistake a long time, for a limited time for a byte key for deciphering work. Experimental results show that the fault sensitivity analysis can effectively attack RSA algorithm based on L-R modular exponentiation, and made three defenses of the FSA can effectively resist attacks...
