Fieldbus technology starts late in our country, and the foundation is weak. Although the birth of NCUC-Bus filled the gap of fieldbus in the field of national NC, its application is relatively weak, and its openness and maintainability should be improved.Taking NCUC-Bus and CANopen Bus which has wide application and good prospects for development as the research object,this paper researched the conversion technology of the NCUC-Bus and CANopen Bus,and designed the two Bus protocol conversion gateway.This desgin not only improved the ability of the openness and interconnection of NCUC-Bus, and achieved integration of the Huazhong NC system with CANopen Bus equipment,but aslo made a effective exploration work for NCUC-Bus to improve application layer in the future,On the premise of not change the NCUC-Bus protocol.Firstly, the NCUC-Bus and CANopen fieldbus technology was analyzed, the overall scheme of protocol conversion was determined.Secondly,design the hardware circuit based on STM32 and FPGA hardware platform,such as system of power supply circuit,NCUC-Bus communication circuit,CANopen Bus communication circuit and internal Bus interface.Thirdly,designed the software based on the hardware,and achieved the interconnection between the two kind of Fieldbus.Finally,connected the gateway device with HNC818 B Huazhong NC device,then respectively connected Beckoff CANopen Bus terminal KL5100 and series of ASDA-A2 CANopen servo to make a test.This test plaltform not only test the the I/O protocol conversion function, and verify the feasibility of this design, but also make a effective exploration for NCUC-Bus servo protocol conversion.
