In recent years, domestic knitting machine sales soared. There is a huge shortfall in themarket. The knitting machines have been promoted to a new level through knitting machinemanufacturers constant innovation. The functions are more complete and stability, the agencyis more simple and convenient to operation. This high-speed multi-functional developmenttrend of the knitting machine control system put forward higher requirements of thescalability and communication real-time capability. This article focused on the followingresearch above subject:The knitting machine control system architecture and its control needs have beenresearched. A three-tier distributed control system has been designed. The demand forreal-time communication requirements has been analyzed. The advantages and disadvantagesof the CAN bus communication technologies have been analyzed, which is widely used in thecurrent flat knitting machine. NCUC-Bus fieldbus architecture and communication theory hasbeen researched. To achieve the communication between the main control layer and handcontrol layer, a cross program based on the NCUC-Bus fieldbus has been proposed.For best use of characteristics of low power consumption of the FPGA and ARM, andthrough choosing low power consumption peripheral devices, a hardware system with lowconsumption circuit was designed. As the control core of NCUC-Bus fieldbus data link layerlogic, the FPGA integrated cropped communication protocol to achieve reliable datatransmission. The operation principle of the head actuators has been analyzed, designed acorresponding drive circuit has been designed.The implementation of the data format of the one head dual system knitting machine hasbeen analyzed. Relying on existing hardware platforms, a segmented transmission storageapplication layer protocol program has been designed, to ensure that the real-timecommunication. The principle of the synchronization control of the knitting machine has beenresearched. A number of software control module have been designed to achieve thesynchronous control of the implementation of the components of the hand.Based on the research above, the knitting machine controller PCB design of the hardware platform was completed. A fieldbus communication experiment test platform has been built. Adebug method of the bus communication link based on FPGA-system has been supposed,besides, the real-time communication link, hand and automatic mode communication functionhave been tested and verified.
