In various areas of industry, surveillance and scientific measure, low illumination image acquisition and transmission systems are widely used. The most typical technologies of low illumination image acquisition systems are electron multiplying CCD technology and EXview CCD technology, these two technologies are used in different areas based on their characteristics, but they also have something in common: They have good low illumination imaging performance by improving the sensitivity of CCD.There are many solutions of image data transmission systems, for instance, Camera Link, Ethernet, IEEE1394 and USB. The four transmission technologies have their own advantages and disadvantages; This thesis selected USB3.0 to develop image data transmission system after comparing these four technologies, and designed a simple solution special for imaging based on the features of USB3.0 controller.The main work of this work is:Compared 4 common data transmission technologies, introduced the difference between nomal CCD and low illumination technology made CCD, and made decision which technology would be used in the program.Developed the whole image acquisition system, and worked out a methed to increase the image frame rate and made the system can work on auto exposure mode.Developed the whole image data transmission system, designed a simple and pratical solution for it.Tested the performance of entire image acquisition and transmission system, the results indicates that all methods adopted in this program work well, and the performance hits our expectation. |
