Software radio has become one of the most influential emerging technologies in the 21 st century, with the rapid development of microelectronic, signal processing technology and computer, as well as the wide application of personal mobile communication. The realization of the software radio not only requires utmost digitalization with broadband, but also needs functions turned into reconstructable software. This put the hardware performance of digital signal processing system into high request because of mass data and huge amounts of tasks of real-time processing. In so many kinds of digital signal processor, FPGA is most suitable to solve the problems presented in software radio.Aiming at the nonlinear distortion of RF receiver and the high data rate after analog-digital conversion, this thesis studies the implementation of linear compensation and channelization based on two Xilinx Virtex 6 FPGAs.Firstly, this article introduces the structure and development principles of FPGA and analyses the cause of nonlinear distortion and relevant indices. The current commonly used techniques for nonlinear distortion are also generally discussed, including their advantages and disadvantages.Secondly, this thesis taking linear compensation based on model of Hammerstein parameter identification for example, combining with high-speed digital signal process board, designs the implementation scheme of the algorithm. According to the structure of algorithm, different function models are divided, the detailed implementation of the core models are also spelt out, which include spectrum-turnover, data windowing, signal extraction, huge matrix multiplication, filter-type compenastion. Some key control signals' wave simulated by Modelsim is presented.Then, channelization is proposed. Polyphase FIR filter is used in filter-decimation, which not only has good filtering effect but also consumes less hardware resources. Hybrid programming of C++ and matlab is used in the generation of filter coefficient. Practice test of channelization from FPGA is also provided.Finally, pci communication is adopted for the data transmission between FPGA and PC, the corresponding frame format and transmission are tested to be worked well.
