The application of mobile Internet and mobile terminals in the industrial field gradually strengthened, the traditional industrial app lications towards mobile and network,which enrich industrial field working means. Android system based on the open source system Linux, which is widely applied for personal use but also for industrial fie ld. It has been proposed in this thesis, design of monitoring software for Servo driver based on Android, mobile monitoring system is convenient for the staff to observe the running status of the equipment, and it is favorable for the on-site commissioning.Firstly, the requirement of mobile monitoring system is specified and analyzed on the aspects of function and performance, where the servo driver,the communication protocol, and the monitoring system hardware structure- a embedded Wi-Fi module linked servo driver and the Android terminal, are all introduced in this thesis. Based on the requirements, a system global design is proposed for the monitoring system, where the architecture is composite of layers of UI, business logical, data and communication, and the functional modules includes parameters setting, adjusting, status display, real-time curve and alarming. A XML-based uniform description for monitoring objects is also sketched for different devices. The software implementation process is then discussed in the following sections. According to the system global design, the software framework and deployment diagram are built up on the features of Android platform. In the framework, the software is constructed by the user interaction worked in foreground and the communication worked in background, where the foreground and the background are coordinate by the internal communication protocol. After all of that, there is more detailed discussion on the implementation processes and methods about the communication module, the user interface module and so on, and especial focus on how to overcome the serious loss of UDP datagram packets in heave communication between Android terminal and servo driver.Lastly it is present to the software testing. Under simulation environment, the testing is interested on the verification of the software correctness and performance of key components, and the further analyzing is also made to testing result. The practical running shows that the mobile monitoring system designed and implemented in this thesis achieves the expected function and performance.
