Research Of Target Detection Algorithm And System Design Based On FPGA

In recent years, the use of remote sensing satellite images for marine ship target detection technology research more and more get the attention of the countries all over the world to maintain maritime interests. Along with the rapid development of our country in the field of remote sensing satellite technology, the ability to obtain high quality marine satellite image data has improved greatly, but the ship target detection ability of automation in satellite images is still insufficient. How to detect the ship from marine satellite image data quickly and accurately become a pressing issue.This paper mainly completed the research of ship target detection algorithm and system design based on FPGA. The main work includes the following several parts:First of all, we research the current research situation at home and abroad about the ship target detection, analyze the image characteristics of remote sensing satellite image,and concretely introduce the existing detection algorithm principle of the target and the wake of a ship.Secondly, we analyze the CFAR and wake detection algorithms, according to the characteristics of the specific image background, chose to realize the detection of ship target based on OTSU algorithm, carefully elaborated the process of the algorithm and the purpose of each part, simulation and analysis of the algorithm through the computer software.Finally, we put forward the ship target detection algorithm of hardware and software system solution based on FPGA according to the demand of the project. On the design of the scheme, through the study of the feasibility of the proposed target detection algorithm,we choose the implementation platform. The algorithm is divided into two parts, and the implementation of the two different parts was introduced in detail.By testing the real-time embedded system based on FPGA, the results show that the system can better to complete the image data processing.
