Circular polarization horn antenna is a circular polarization antenna which is realize circular polarization performance with circular waveguide polarizer, with a trumpet caliber of the electromagnetic wave radiation, Circular waveguide polarizer is an important part of the circular polarization horn antenna, the performance of circular polarization can be improved by use the reasonable circular waveguide polarizer.Antenna simulation is on the basis of theoretical study by using electromagnetic simulation software for analysis and design.Antenna measurement is test the performance of the antenna is qualified with instruments and equipment in the right circumstances.The principle of circular polarization and important performance parameters of the antenna is introduced in this paper, the principle of waveguide circular polarizer of the current commonly used is researched, the analysis and simulation of a Ka band circular polarization horn antenna in combination with the antenna requirements, the feeder port of the horn antenna is WR28 rectangular waveguide interface,the antenna is inserted by rectangular-circular transformation, circular waveguide with dielectric septum and radiation horn of three parts. Length,thickness, relative dielectric constant and shape of the dielectric septum has a great influence on the result,the results have been optimized with the HFSS electromagnetic simulation software, the simulation results agree well with the requirements of the indicators.Finally the antenna was been measured, vector network analyzer combined with a waveguide calibration was used to measure the antenna standing wave ratio, the direction of the antenna diagram was been measured in microwave dark room, studied the thread polarization antenna auxiliary measuring the circular polarization antenna axis ratio principle, combining with the antenna pattern measurement data obtained through the calculation of antenna axis ratio, the measured results are analyzed and compared with the MATLAB software, the measured results agree well with the requirements of the indicators.
