Facing the the fact that the number of the globel network traffic has reached the level of ZB(Zettabyte 10 trillion bytes), it's hard for the current network based on IP to distribute the huge traffic in an efficient way. The problem has been partly solved by the emergence of the Information Centric Network(ICN). As the same time, the Software Defined Network was proposed as a new type of network architecture to promise the network high flexibility and programmability. As a class of ICN implementation scheme, the Software Defined Information Centric Network(SDICN) implementing the ICN base on the SDN has gained more and more attentions. This thesis made deeply research on the SDICN based on relevant principle of the SDN and the ICN, and summarized their existing problem of insufficient amount of the content names to support, and the problem of the coupling of the technology of storage and the technology of exchange who makes it difficult to upgrade. This thesis proposed a SDICN scheme to solve the above problems and gave the detailed design scheme of system and the main module. A SDN platform supporting the Open Flow v1.3 has been realized with the help of Ryu, Mininet and the Tornado. The SDICN has been realized on the above SDN platform. The test results of the system function and the performance showed that the system functions have met the design requirements and the performance has met basic demand. On the one hand the SDICN has overcome the above inherent limits of the current schemes, on the other hand it was compatible with the current web access, to promise the ability of incremental deployment, and partly reduce the difficulty to deploy the ICN in the current network.
