The application of high power LED is at the vigorously stage at present. There are many problems in applying the high power LED light source such as bad heat dispersion, complex optical designing, and so on. In order to solve these problems, a new style high power plate COB LED light source and its related applied technology is proposed. The following work is mainly finished:First of all, the whole package process of the high power plate LED COB light source is researched, making sure the packaged light source has good color quality. Especially, the law of the influence of the phosphor status to the whole color quality of the plate COB light source is discussed.Secondly, the heat dispersion of high power plate LED COB light source itself is studied, analyzing the temperature field distribution characteristics of plate LED COB light source and indicating the universal problems of the heat concentrating in COB light source. Aimed at the characteristics of the plate LED COB light source, the gripping thermal resolution is put forward. The influence of six dimensions of the radiator such as the fin thickness, the fin pitch, the fin length, the fin height, the fin numbers, and the basement thickness to the temperature of the plate COB lighting source is analyzed by the orthogonal experiment method. The law of the influence degree of these factors to the temperature and the cost of the plate LED COB light source is concluded by the range analysis method. A linear weighted model is put forward to comprehensively consider the effect of the plate LED COB light source, optimizing the best radiator shape and size of the 15 w plate LED COB light source module. To improve the heat concentration in plate COB lighting source and to enhance the heat performance of plate COB lighting module, a solution by adding rib plate at the center of the radiator basement is proposed. According to the stack effect theory, the method of designing the reasonable air flow channel is proposed to enhance the intensity of the natural convection of the plate COB lighting module.Thirdly, the secondary optical design of the plate LED COB light source is studied in depth. The free form lens of the plate LED COB light source achieving uniform circular facula and uniform rectangular facula is designed by the edge light method. When these lens was designing, the plate LED COB light source is regard as a point light source at first, then applying the designed lens to the true plate LED COB light source. The free form lens suitable for plate LED COB is optimized by modifying the unit division of the target plane and the light source based on the simulation results.Finally, based on the research results of the package, the heat dissipation and the secondary optical design of the plate LED COB light source, a street lamp applied in roadway illumination and a LED spotlight applied to decorative lighting and commercial lighting are designed. Making the corresponding samples, the optical properties and thermal properties are measured. An uniform illumination solution of a city road with 14 meters width and 4 two-way lanes is designed referring to the "standard of city road lighting".
