Along with the increasingly improvement of science and people living standard, the existing wireless communication technology can't satisfy the growing industrial demand, we need to study and explore more advanced wireless technologies. This paper designs a wireless communication system which is based on Si4438RF chip, the system realizes the point-to-point and point-to-multipoint data exchange between the master node and the slave nodes.On the basis of in-depth analysis of the system function, this paper designed the overall framework of the system, including Android master node, single-chip slave node, sensor module and Si4438 wireless module. Among them, the microprocessor of master node is Exynos4412; the control chip of slave node is PIC16LF1518. Through the Si4438 chip, Android node and single-chip node can carry out wireless communication with each other, slave node controls sensor module to acquire data. Si4438 that is a wireless RF chip has the characteristics of low power consumption, far transmission distance, which can be used as wireless transceiver equipment.The focus of this paper lies in the complex software design of wireless communication system, the main task falls into two parts:(1) The slave nodes:writing and debugging program for the PIC microcontroller, including control sensor module to acquire data, and control Si4438 RF chip go to send and receive data through the SPI bus.(2) The master node:cutting and compiling the Linux kernel, writing the library file of configuration information as well as the corresponding JNI interface. Basing on the HAL library, developing the Android upper-level application to control the Si4438, debugging the communication function with several slave nodes, thus it realizes the wireless communication between the master node and slave node.In this system, there are two kinds of communication way between master node and slave nodes:the point-to-point (P2P) and the point-to-multipoint (P2MP), P2P uses the RTS/CTS protocol, P2MP uses TDMA protocol. Finally, carrying out the complete function test to the whole system, and achieving the desired expectation of data exchange between the master node and slave nodes, basically realizing the software function of wireless communication system.The innovation of this article is that combining movable advantage of Android platform with the wireless communication capability of the radio frequency chip Si4438, exploring a new form of wireless communication mode and designing the software system, its application prospect is very wide.
