Left-behind children are the phased product of China’s economic transforma tion in urban and rural areas.unbalanced economic development in urban and rural has triggered a n upsurge of peasants’ employment in cities.Due to various reasons,these migrant workers cannot bring their children to the city and can only leave them at home,taking care by grandparents or relatives.According to the second plenary session for rural left-behind children held by the Ministry of Civil Affairs,there are currently 902 million left-behind children in China.These children have long been in an environment without parental supervision and care,and are at a critical period of physical and mental development.Without proper guidance,it is easy to cause problems.Children carry the future of the motherland and they are the main force for realizing the dream of a great Chinese Renaissance.Therefore,the education of left-behind children seems especially important.The weakening and lack of family education is the most serious problem facing by left-behind children’s education.The healthy growth of left-behind children is related to the development of rural education,and even to the construction of new rural areas.From the investigation and analysis of the current status of music education in elementary schools in Yuying Town,Luojiang County,Sichuan Province,this dissertation wants to explored whether music education can replace the lack of family education of left-behind children,so as to guide the children’s physical and mental development.Besides the abstract,conclusion,and appendices,this thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is introduction,this chapter mainly involves three major parts,the reasons for the topic selection,the research status at home and abroad,the main research content and research objectives,and this chapter also includes the definition of related concepts such as left-behind children,music education,and family education.The second chapter mainly deals with the survey of the current status of music education in elementary schools in Yuying Town,including the survey of teachers,music equipment,and teaching conditions.Data is mainly collected by observing music lessons,interviewing teachers,and conducting questionnaire.It provides information for the reasons analysis of the third chapter.The third chapter mainly analyzes the causes of the music education in elementary schools of Yuying Town.In this chapter,I mainly focused on the analysis of parents’ awareness,music teacher team construction,and social support,trying to find more breakthrough points for music education of left-behind children in rural areas.Chapter four is going to solve the countermeasures and put forward suggestions for the music education in elementary schools of Yuying Town.Firstly,successful teaching cases so far were analyzed and summarized,then methods and recommendations of my own originality summed up.
