The ability of data analysis has become one of the abilities that every citizen of the information society must master.The "Compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards(2011 Edition)" mentioned the 10 core concepts,including data analysis."Data processing" ability is also one of the seven requirements in the "Ordinary high school mathematics curriculum standard(Experiment)",which shows the great educational significance of it.Firstly,this study combed the relevant researches at home and abroad and found that the studies of the data analysis ability for senior high school students were very little.So what is the present situation of high school students' data analysis ability? Are there significant differences in grades,genders,levels or significant difference between arts and science? What are the requirements of data analysis ability of senior high school students in the “Ordinary high school mathematics curriculum standard(Experiment)”? Have high school students' data analysis ability reached the “ordinary high school mathematics curriculum standard(Experiment)" requirements or not?On the basis of the level of statistical thinking framework proposed by Mooney,this study divided the ability of data analysis into the following four dimensions: data collection,data processing,data description and data exploration.Combined with the specific requirements of data analysis ability of high school students in the "Ordinary high school mathematics curriculum standard(Experiment)",the test volume of high school students' data analysis ability was compiled.Then draw lessons from Professor Biggs' s SOLO classification evaluation theory,the author divided the subjects' answers to the test into four levels(P-U-M-R)and scoring and counting the results of four levels,so as to obtain the current status of the data analysis ability of senior high school students;Then using SPSS(22.0)software to analyze the statistical results' differences;Finally,the author compared the test results with the "Ordinary high school mathematics curriculum standards(Experiment)" to obtain the gap between the data analysis ability of senior high school students and the curriculum standards requirements,combing with the research conclusion,the author put forward the relevant teaching s uggestions on high school students ability of data analysis.The research shows that:(1)The data analysis ability of high school students is generally in M level,which is normally distributed;(2)The data analysis ability of high school students has significant grade differences,gender differences,level differences and differences between arts and Sciences.(3)The data analysis ability of high school students did not reach the level required by the curriculum standards.To solve the above problems,the author put forward the relevant teaching suggestions onhigh school students ability of data analysis:(1)Create data analysis activities reasonably,and improve the enthusiasm of students learning data analysis.(2)Develop the students ability of data analysis through the whole process of data analysis.(3)Rich teaching arrangement,and focus on the development of students ability to explore data;(4)Pay attention to differences and teach students according to their aptitude in statistical knowledge teaching.
