Physics is a natural science based on experiments and classroom demonstrative experiment is one of the most frequent experimental teaching methods used in current physics teaching.This method provides a perceptual basis for students to grasp physical laws,helps them deepen the understanding of physical concepts and is an important approach combining theory with practice.Also,the method can raise students' interests of learning and inspire them to think actively.At present,there exist some disadvantages in demonstrative experiment for teaching physics in junior high schools: firstly,some teachers attach little importance to this method in actual teaching process and have inadequate application;secondly,the experiment equipment in the laboratories is of small number,with poor function and has unsatisfying experimental effects,which cannot meet the students' learning need.In dealing with the problems above,teachers can make use of common materials nearby and feasible methods to make by themselves the tools for demonstrative experiments.Using optical contents in physics of junior high school,this paper studies the application of self-made teaching tools for demonstrative experiments within 6 separate chapters.The first chapter talks about the related research status quo on domestic and overseas,introducing the research purpose,significance,content,methods and the thesis structure;the second chapter gives definitions of demonstrative experiments and self-made teaching tools,and introduces the theoretical basis for the topic;in the third part,by means of questionnaire,the author investigates the status quo of application of demonstrative experiments and self-made teaching tools,and analyzes and concludes the results;chapter 4 deals with the teaching application of self-made teaching tools for demonstrative experiments based on the analysis of demonstrative experiments in the optical contents in physics textbooks;in chapter 5,after determining practical design plan,the author puts it into practice,collects the test data as well as investigation findings,and then analyzes the teaching effects;in the concluding part,the author summarizes the paper and reflects on the shortcomings of the study before looking forward to the future.As the study shows,the application of self-made teaching tools for optical demonstrative experiments in teaching of physics in junior high schools,is able to solve the problem that the schools are in need of laboratory equipment,to satisfy students' need of learning,to create a relaxing study atmosphere and provide necessary perceptual knowledge for students.Thus,it can inspire the students learning interest,enhance their knowledge level and cultivate their sense of innovation as well as good scientific literacy.
