The family environment has a crucial influence on the education of children. Many studies have found that the economic status of the family has a decisive effect on the academic achievement of children. However, studies have also found that, apart from economic factors, the academic achievements of children with similar family economic levels show differences. At the same time, many children with different family economic levels show homogeneity in their academic achievement. These differences and homogeneity indicate that academic achievement is not determined solely by family economic reasons, but is the result of a combination of multiple causes. From the perspective of social capital theory, this study takes the three tasks of social capital as the starting point: explaining how social capital presents value;how individual actors have access to resources through social networks;and how to mobilize social capital.Based on the three propositions of social capital,we refer to domestic and international research on the relationship between family environment and children's academic relations, make assumptions, design questionnaires, and conduct online surveys of college students. In addition, six individuals were selected to conduct individual interviews, and the contents of the interviews were used as supplementary explanations to support the characteristics of the survey data. The results of the survey were analyzed using spss23.0.Comprehensively found that there are many factors that affect their children's academic achievement, the most important one being the input of family education resources. This paper consists of six parts. The first part is the introduction, which mainly introduces the research background and origin of the research. The second part is the literature review and concept definition. The third part is about the current situation of family environment and children's academic relations. The theoretical basis of the study, the design of the questionnaire, and the characteristics of the questionnaire data. The problems found in the investigation of family environment and children's academic achievements include unbalanced resources and insufficient educational investment. The fourth part mainly deals with the impact of capital imbalance on academic achievement differences, mainly including family economic resources, family education resources, and families. The reasons for the differences in children's academic achievement caused by social relations and practical factors;the fifth part is the coordination mechanism for mobilizing family education resources, mainly mobilizing educational resources from three perspectives: family, society, and government departments;the sixth part is summary and reflection.Including the research process and conclusions of this study, the deficiencies in the research, and finally the prospect of future research. The conclusion of this study: The impact of family environment on children's academic achievement is mainly reflected in the investment in family education resources.Mobilizing family education resources is facing resistance and dilemma, and it still requires multiple joint efforts.
