An Empirical Study On Sexual Health Of Male College Students In Chongqing

Sexual health is an important part of health which has received widespread attention from society.The specific concept can be defined as the sum of the physical,emotional,intellectual,behavioral and social relationships of individuals with sexual desire.In recent years,with the emphasis and popularization on higher education in China,the college student groups have become the important force of social development,so that the problems of sexual health from college students have been increasingly concerned by the society.However,due to the influence of traditional thoughts and other factors in our country,the research and service targets of domestic sexual health are mostly female groups.The problems of sexual health from male college students have been neglected for a long time,resulting in a high outbreak of sexual health problems among the male college students.Even the male college students groups have been the high-risk population of AIDS,whose healthy problems have a serious impact on society.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to start a research on the sex health of male college students groups.This study reviews the existing research findings on sexual health of college students,teasing out the concepts and theories of sexual health and healthy sociology to guide the questionnaires design.The study focused on male university students(including undergraduates and postgraduates)in Chongqing.Typical sampling methods are used to select ten sample universities from fifty five universities in Chongqing including Chongqing University,Southwest University,Chongqing Technology and Business University,Chongqing Medical University and so on.According to the distribution of male college students in these 10 universities,60 samples are taken in each university and finally 600 samples are gotten from ten sample universities for analysis.During the survey,600 questionnaires are actually distributed and 568 valid questionnaires are returned.The effective questionnaire rate is 94.7%.Through the investigation of the sexual diseases,sexual attitudes,sexual knowledge and sexual behaviors of male university students in Chongqing,this article analyzes the causes of male university students' sexual health problems from the group of male college students,family environment,school Education and social environment with the theory of healthy sociology and the characteristics of the male college students themselves.Based on this,we put forward specific countermeasures and suggestions that is attaching importance to school and family education,while changing society's concept of sexual health,to help male university students establish correct concepts to reduce sexual misconduct,and finally to improve male university students' collective sexual health.
