Forming a modern vocational education system with Chinese characteristics is an important goal of the development of vocational education in China.This depends on their own reality,on the other hand also depends on learning foreign advanced educational experience.The United States is a country with developed vocational education in the world.Through the innovation of vocational education institution,it has effectively established a modern vocational education system with distinct layers,complete categories,and mutual communication.Although there are many differences between China and the United States in terms of historical traditions and realistic conditions,the two countries still have strong similarities in the development of education.There are some universal things that still need to be followed.Therefore,the present study uses a combination of literature,factor analysis,and comparison methods to shed light on the development of the U.S.vocational education system and the cultural foundation of U.S.vocational education system innovation,focusing on the exemplification,characteristics,and influences of U.S.vocational education institution innovation.Problems were studied in order to provide some inspiration for the reform of vocational education and the construction of a modern vocational education system in our country.This article consists of six major components.The introduction is the first part of the dissertation.It briefly discusses the reasons for choosing the topic,the theoretical and practical significance of the research,defines the core concepts such as vocational education,vocational education system,and system innovation,and introduces the research methods adopted in this paper.The second part analyzes the ideological and cultural basis of the U.S.vocational education system innovation,and examines the cultural background of U.S.vocational education institutional innovation from the angle of U.S.culture and U.S.vocational education thinking.The third part explores the institutional innovation of the American secondary vocational education.First,it combs the development stages of the American secondary vocational education and the secondary vocational education system from a historical point of view.Then it specifically analyzes the specific embodiment of the characteristics of the American secondary vocational education system,and finally discusses the problems and inadequacies of the American secondary vocational education system.The fourth part and the fifth part respectively study the institutional innovation of American higher vocational education and the innovation of American vocational education management system.The sixth part analyzes the characteristics and influence of the U.S.vocational education system innovation,including the reality that the U.S.vocational education system facing is the driving force for innovation,based on the tradition is the foundation of U.S.vocational education system innovation,the bottom-up is the model of American vocational education system innovation,construction theory is the support of the innovation of the U.S.vocational education system.The U.S.vocational education system innovation promotes the participation of the industry in vocational education,promotes the democratization of education,and integrates the concepts of general education and vocational education.
