Social adaptation is the eternal theme of individual development in the society.It is the process of assimilation and adaptation in the interaction between the individual and the environment factors.It is also an individual behavioral response to environmental stimulus or environmental changes.As vulnerable groups in society,hearing impaired children also confronted with social adaptation.Due to congenital or acquired other factors,their ears are unable to hear or hear the sounds of the surroundings clearly.Compared with healthy children,this defect seriously affects the normal interpersonal communication activities and their daily life.Social support refers to the personal gain from family,friends and so on in mental or physical support,which beneficial to the development of individual social adaptability.Resistance refers to some features in the process of the dynamic interaction between individual and environment.When individuals face a crisis or pressure,they can effectively choose strategies that are good for their mental and physical health.In practical terms,it is the ability of individuals to cope and adapt in the face of stress and adversity.Childhood is a crucial stage in the development of the individual.In the process of children growing up,hearing impaired children will encounter many problems and difficulties.Therefore,resistance is an important mediating protective factor that plays an important role in their healthy growth.This paper adopts the revised scale.And 191 children from 14 to 18 years old are surveyed with questionnaires in Nanjing.This paper explores the relationship between hearing impaired children's social adaptability with resilience and social support.The results are showed below: 1.The integral level of social adaptation is medium.There is no significant difference between sex.2.The overall level of social support and the resilience of the hearing-impaired children were in the middle level,the level of education of parents of two all showed significant differences.3.Social support have a significant positive correlation with social adaptation(the correlation coefficient=0.405).Resilience is significantly and positively correlated with social adaptation(the correlation coefficient=0.733).4.Multiple regression analysis showed that: Social support and resilience can explain 40.5%.5.Social support has an effect on impaired children's social adaptability and mediator effect of resilience is significant partly.6.Resilience plays an intermediary role between social support and social adaptation,with mediation effect of 61.5%.We recommend that we should improve the social support and the resilience to enhance social adaptation of hearing-impaired children.
