The cultivation of reading ability is not only key to a person's lifelong development,but also crucial to a country's development.The cultivation of the autonomous and independent reading ability should be attached importance from the start.This thesis,based on the cognitive psychology,students oriented theories and the feedback of the questionnaire survey among the students,the parents and the teachers,explores the existing factors,characteristics and key cultivating points of the autonomous and independent reading ability of primary school students at the middle stage,and offers the principles and strategies of the cultivation of the autonomous and independent reading ability after studying the teaching cases and teaching activities.This thesis is composed of four main chapters besides the introduction,the reflection and outlook.The introduction mainly introduces the significance,research objects,research methods,and the research status both at home and abroad of this topic as well as the definition of the keywords.The first chapter,the theoretic analysis of the thesis,mainly discusses the existing factors,characteristics and key cultivating points of the autonomous and independent reading ability of primary school students at the middle stage.The second chapter is the basis of the thesis.It summarizes,by questionnaire survey,the current status of the autonomous and independent reading ability of primary school students at the middle stage from the knowledge of reading,the intelligence of reading and the taste of reading.It explores and finds out the crux of the cultivation thereof.The third chapter offers the theoretic basis,principles and ideas to solve the problems according to the current status and the factors thereof.The fourth chapter is the key part of the thesis.It offers the strategies of cultivating the ability of the autonomous and independent reading according to current status,the theoretic basis,principles and ideas.It also offers a reference to solve the existing problems of cultivating the ability thereof based on the cases studied and the experience summed up.The last part is the reflection and outlook.It mainly summarizes the key points of the thesis,and shows the confusing points and regrets during the research as well as outlooks the research of teaching in the future.
