With the method of literature research,case analysis,investigation and empirical study,this research aims to dig deeply the application of intensive reading in Chinese reading comprehension teaching course to middle school students and comes into a conclusion that intensive reading method helps students to develop a view of insight and exploring,to grasp a great learning method as well as the habit of reading actively.It is not only a very useful approach to understand whole contexts,but also a teaching method which appropriate to use in reading comprehension class.This research firstly traces back the origin and history of intensive reading method,describing its connotation and characteristic in different contexts,demonstrating the evident and meaning to apply intensive reading method into Chinese reading comprehension teaching,then lists out the issue occurred in current teaching situation by finding the reason behind,proving the necessity to apply intensive reading method into reading comprehension teaching to middle school students from the aspect of class,students,teachers,contexts.Last but not the least,this research discusses the principle should be abided when applying intensive reading during teaching session,summarizes a general tactic for teachers to better master this teaching method and a practical approach to guide students based on practice and theory to better serve the application of intensive reading into reading comprehension teaching to middle school students.
