Research On The Teaching Of Primary School Composition Based On Tao Xingzhi's Thought Of Life Education

Composition teaching,as an important part of Chinese teaching,should focus on leading students to concern about reality,arousing their love for life and their desire to actively perceive the world and express their own feelings.In this way,students are able to have an improved grasp of accurate and lively language expression and communication skills,and their literary accomplishment will be enhanced.In the primary school,however,various drawbacks exist in the composition teaching,such as unduly guidance of writing techniques,as well as lack of writing material accumulation,guidance of observation methods,the development of teaching resources and effective composition evaluation.The above-mentioned problems tend to mislead students to play a passive role,who can only accept mechanical exercises about so-called techniques and skills,then lose their interest and motivation in writing,and eventually are deprived of their ability to write.Gradually,they are used to forming the thought that they cannot write composition or composition is difficult to write well.The traditional composition teaching must be reformed,but it is a difficult question about how to reform.More than half a century ago,the great people's educator-Mr.Tao Xingzhi said that life is education,society is school,and teaching,studying and practicing should be combined.His education philosophy has pointed us to the direction of our composition-teaching reform.The idea that life is education points out the serious problem that the current composition teaching ignores the real life,and clearly emphasizes the close relationship between life and education.The idea that society is school reflects the educational outlook of going out of the book,going to the nature,to the society,and to life.It emphasizes the practicality of composition teaching.The idea of the combination of teaching,studying and doing refers to the basic method of composition-teaching.Based on the systematical introduction of Mr.Tao Xingzhi's educational philosophy and its pedagogical implications for composition teaching in the primary school,this paperdeeply analyzes the problems and causes of the composition teaching in each grade of primary schools in Danyang,and focuses on exploring the implementation strategies for the primary-school composition teaching in Danyang,in the hope of bringing a flavor of life for the reform of the primary-school composition teaching in Danyang.
