Nell Noddings is a famous theorist of contemporary education in the United States who has devoted to the study of education for many years and she is the primary founder of caring education theory and the education of happiness theory.Noddings happiness education is based on existentialism,Dewey’s pragmatism,humanism psychology and the care ethics.The theory of happiness education advances some new conception about education.The theory begin with the perspective of gender equality and assert that the purpose of education is promoting students’ happiness,education should revolve around the life and students’ interest in many aspects to the design and arrange curriculum,educators should provide more freedom and choice for students and guide them to enjoy learning during activities and communication,she also puts forward a new view about the equality of education that the true education is not giving the same education to students,but to be given appropriate education,she also pays special attention to the students’ feelings of happiness at the moment and advocates to accept the possibility of the development of students.This research mainly uses the literature method and comparative method to analyze the Noddings happiness education theory,it is mainly divided into the four parts: the first part is introduction,expounds the reason of the topic,research significance,research status at home and abroad,research methods and the definition of some basic concepts;the second part expounds the forming background and the theoretical basis of Noddings’ happiness education theory;the third is the theory of Noddings happiness education content and its characteristics;at last,the article evaluates the happiness education and analyzes the implications of this theory on education of China.Each part has different details and focuses on the different degree,the emphasis and difficulty of this research is the fourth parts which focuses on the contribution of Noddings happiness education theory and its enlightenment on China’s education and teaching.This study can not only meet the needs of students’ development,but also promote the professional development of teachers and the construction of schools.At the same time,it can also help to enhance the author’s educational ideas and research level and can provide some reference for national education and teaching reform.It also provides some educational ideas and management of class activities and other aspects for the teachers in order to make more teachers and students to teach and learn happily. |
