| In the past year,the author has the honor to take part in Hanban Chinese Teacher Volunteer Program and undertake Chinese teaching task in the public elementary school Anubankalasin School in Thailand.In addition to the completion of normal teaching task,the author has participated in and organized Chinese culture competitions and activities for many times.Although the school is simply a primary school,traditional Chinese culture keeps continually attracting students,in particular students in Chinese specialty class,to preserve great fervor and interests in learning Chinese culture.However,existing teaching work for cultural elements in Chinese teaching gradually fails to satisfy the learning needs of primary school students,especially those students in Chinese specialty class of Thailand,for Chinese culture.Under such circumstances,many schools open up specialized cultural courses.Based on the author’s practical Chinese teaching experience in Thailand,the thesis refers to relevant research findings related to calligraphy teaching and course design theories to formulate a specific Calligraphy course design targeted at students from Chinese specialty class in Thailand primary schools.The purpose of the research is to explore new methods and approaches suitable for Chinese cultural teaching in Thailand primary schools and provide reference for following related cultural teaching practice and studies.Main body of the thesis consists of six parts as follows.The first part is introduction which analyzes the cause of topic selection,research significance,review of relevant research theories and present research situation,and subsequently presents research contents and research methods.The second part demonstrates the basis of Calligraphy course design for Class 5(5)in Anubankalasin School.It primarily conducts a frontal analysis on the overall design from the perspective of teaching demand analysis,teaching object analysis,teaching condition analysis and Calligraphy course design principles.The third part points out specific design proposal in the dimension of teaching objectives,selection and organization of teaching contents,teaching strategies and course assessment.The fourth part illustrates the Calligraphy course teaching instances oriented towards Class5(5)in Anubankalasin School.It comprehensively shows the process of “Regular Script Structural Learning” from teaching objectives to teaching contents,important and difficult points of teaching,teaching methods,teaching appliance and teaching process.The fifth part is about the teaching assessment and suggestion for Calligraphy course design.On account of the assessment for teachers’ teaching effects and students’ learning effects,it gives assessment and reflection for Calligraphy course design from the two aspects and comes up with corresponding suggestions.The sixth part is conclusion which makes a summary for the experiences accumulated in Calligraphy course design process.The establishment of specialized Chinese cultural courses for foreigners could reinforce the pertinence and efficiency of cultural teaching.The author sincerely expects to boost students’ interests in learning Chinese,enrich their pluralistic cultural knowledge system and encourage them to more love Chinese culture throughout Calligraphy course design and teaching practices.In the meanwhile,the thesis also attempts to explore the mutual promotion and supplementation functions between the establishment of cultural courses and Chinese teaching and probe into how to organically integrate cultural learning with Chinese teaching,with the purpose of offering feasible references to following cultural teaching. |
