Research On Talents Training Model Of Applied Health Service Management In A Medical University Based On Post Competency

Objective:To explore the establishment of the training mode based on the post competency and the matching of the talent training mode by analyzing the current situation and existing problems of the training for the professional talents in the management of health services,and refining elements for post competency of health managemen to establish the competency model.Methods:To carry out the questionnaire survey to choose the health professional management major students,the graduates in grade 2003 to 2011 and five employment unit covered 3 top three hospitals,the CDC and HIS after designing the questionnaire by searching literature.To explore the current training concepts and training objectives,curriculum system,teaching method,teaching level,the condition of students’ learning and practice from teachers in colleges and universities,experts interview who engaged in the health management professional education and the shortage ofthe competence of talents and current management personnel with the top management of the employer by interview method.To explore the establishment of the training mode based on the post competency and the matching of the talent training mode by analyzing the current situation and existing problems of the training for the professional talents in the management of health services,and refining elements for post competency of health managemen to establish the competency model.Results:1.A total of 376 questionnaires were distributed,and 372 were recovered,the recovery rate was 98.94%.111 questionnaires were distributed in the school,111 copies were recovered and the recovery rate was 100%.140 questionnaires were distributed for graduates,138 copies were recovered and the recovery rate was 98.57%.125 questionnaires were distributed for employing unit,123 copies were recovered and the recovery rate was 98.40%.41 cases of males accounted for 36.94% and 70 cases of females accounted for 63.06%.Age ranged from 18 to 23 years old,with an average age was(21.04±1.43)years old in the school.52 cases of males accounted for 37.68% and 86 cases of females accounted for 62.32%.Age ranged from 24 to 29 years old,with an average age was(26.99±1.12)years old in the school for graduates.81 cases of males accounted for 55.86% and 42 cases of females accounted for 53.15%.Age ranged from 28 to 59 years old,with an average age was(45.80±8.12)years old in the school for graduates.2.In the school recycling questionnaire,there were 12 freshman and it accounted for 10.81%.There were 30 sophomore students and it accounted for 27.03%.There were 38 junior students and it accounted for 34.23%.There were senior students and it accounted for 27.93%.The knowledge of the professional,public and law,the ability of communication and coordination,organization and management,statistics and document writing,the quality to the sense of responsibility,moral quality,cooperation consciousness,positive psychological debugging and a healthy body was the major for the demands of post competency in health management talent of respondents who believed the unit.3.There were 59 graduates who have been engaged in the management of health services,accounted for 42.75%.They worked for medical enterprises mainly and were in secondary public hospitals,accounted for 31.88%.The respondents thought that education culture was the ability and quality mainly in university stage.The communicate,coordinate,organize management and innovation was the major ability.The sense of responsibility,cooperation consciousness,collective honor and positive psychology was the major quality.The professional,public,economics and computer knowledge was the major in the work,the ability of communicate,coordinate and document writing was the major in the work,the quality of business,sense of responsibility,cooperative consciousness,positive psychology debugging was the major in the work.4.The needs of requirements for the employer of the management of health professionals were very much,it accounted for 47.15%.The minimum educational requirements for the management of health professionals in the unit were the junior college,it accounted for 49.59%.All the health units had no rigid requirements,it accounted for 65.04%.The ability of health management talents: the manage professional,clinical,public basic,economics,legal,English and computer knowledge was the major,the ability of communicate and coordinate,organization,management,innovation,scientific research,decision-making,statistical,document writing,strain capacity and crisis management ability was the major,the quality of responsibility,moral accomplishment,cooperation consciousness,collective honor sense,positive psychology debugging,healthy body was the major.5.To score in the knowledge dimension of school students and graduates:The difference of the scores for management specialty,basic medicine,clinical knowledge,economics,law class,computer and other aspects comparison was statistical significance(P < 0.05).Dimensions: The difference of the scores for communication and coordination ability,organization and management ability,innovation ability,research ability,decision-making ability,document writing ability,strain capacity,the ability of handling crisis and other aspects was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Quality dimension: The difference of the scores for enterprise,respect,moral accomplishment,honor sense,positive psychological adjustment,healthy body and other aspects was statistical significance(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.The professional characteristics are not obvious,the education mode tradition,the training is more knowledge accumulation of the type teaching mode for health service management.The type teaching mode for health service management is lack of practical work ability,practical operation ability and innovative scientific research ability.The comprehensive quality of the students for health service management is deficient and the demand of the post talent is not consistent.2.The professional theoretical knowledge is more comprehensive for employer’s demand.The knowledge of students for health service management is mainly based on sociology besides the basic knowledge,the ability is based on the ability of document writing and the operation ability of office equipment and paying more attention to the improvement of their own quality.3.It provides the basis for the training of professional talents in health service management and it can reform the education mode and educational idea on the basis of knowledge,ability and quality,and according to the characteristics of the students,carry out personalized training.4.The employment of health management graduates is mainly medical enterprises,followed by the health administrative departments and hospitals.Therefore,to strengthen cooperation with medical institutions,pharmaceutical enterprises and other employers,supply and demand,let students have more contact with the actual work opportunities,improve the comprehensive ability to lay the foundation for employment.5.The score of the knowledge,ability and quality of the graduates is higher than that of the students in school,and the employers need to have excellent practical ability and good personal quality besides the higher professional knowledge.Therefore,colleges and universities should reform the curriculum system according to the needs,pay attention to the organic integration of different disciplines,make it not only cover medicine,but also reasonably set sociology,management,economics and other humanities,and strengthen the education of practical subjects such as document writing and statistical ability.
