Based on the theory of Ideological and political education,the role theory of sociology and the theory of school social work,this paper makes a theoretical and Empirical Study on the role of College Counselors in Guangzhou.Primary objective of the study was to investigate the ability of College Counselors’ role performance;to explore the factors influencing the effect of role of College Counselors in the ability,and college counselors between the three dimensions of management ability,ideological and political education ability,professional knowledge related,and three-dimensional degree of role ability and related;construction ability of College Counselors’ role model of influencing factors.According to the above research results,to provide theoretical basis and scientific advice for the construction of College Counselors’ role ability and the government education department.To achieve the above purpose,in this paper,through the following ideas and paths were carried out to study through the literature research,theoretical synthesis and induction,expounds the factors related to the influence of College Counselors’ role ability,including personal background variables,work goal,knowledge,price value of four parts and the ability of counselors role development history and research status is summarized.By the literature discussion from the results as the basis of the research infrastructure and development tool.Selected with reliability and validity and the research objective is consistent with the theoretical model,including MKI model,"3G" model,CPM theory model,selected to representative of the role of the three dimensions and 12 kinds of ability together constitute the questionnaire of this study;to counselors in three universities in Guangzhou were sampled from the discussion,a total recovery of the questionnaire 85.According to the survey data,in accordance with the study design to explore the factors related to the role of the Counselor’s role.In the data processing,with descriptive statistics,SPSS,etc.,to explore the results of the analysis.The results showed that there were significant differences in the role of different genders,different ages,different educational backgrounds,and the number of students with students.Participation in a survey of College Counselors in comprehensive knowledge,organization and management,analysis judgment,ideological and political education,and good performance;insufficient performance on the other hand,college counselors in knowledge learning and innovation,communication strain,vocational beliefs,working years,professional structure,the number of the students and the remuneration etc.factors affected the ability of counselor role,from the college counselors access mechanism,training system,evaluation system and career development system of improving the ability of counselors role.The research results for college counselors improve their professional level,enhance school social work ability and education departments and university student work team construction policy formulation has certain reference significance and can also be as future researchers for construction of student work team research study,school social work research studies of corroboration.
