Quality Education requires that education should be worked for all students to get the appropriate development.It sets the fundamental principles of our education,especially the basic education.That is to help each student to get better development.However,learning difficulties is an extremely common phenomenon in the basic education stage in China now,under the great pressure of the enrollment rate,some teachers pay more attention to excellent students and ignore the English underachievers.It not only goes against the wishes of Quality-oriented Education,but also does great harm to English underachievers.Therefore,solving this problem is the requirement of adapting to the new curriculum reform and quality education.According to the existing research results,there are many underachievers in different subjects,however,the phenomenon of English learning problems is the most serious problem.Many experts and scholarsof English have studied the phenomenon from different perspectives and have achieved many products.As one of the sub tasks,English underachievers have been concerned by more and more scholars.Based on relative research results from home and abroad,using theories of educational psychology and teaching methodology,this thesis applies the methods of samples and analyses to deal with the problems of English underachievers and to sum up the reasons which leads to their backwards in study.The thesis has also made some attempts in the means of improvement,to establish a proper evaluation system which will benefit the English underachievers in high school. |
