In recent years, Micro lecture, a kind of the micro- video course, has been gradually applying to the education field. It mainly takes the form of video performance and also a variety of forms such as pictures, texts, and music, by which students can learn anywhere and anytime. Micro lecture is rapidly developed in the education field and popular with university students,which is convenient, easy to operate, short and brief, dynamic and diverse etc. The paper, based on the high school chemistry,following the principle of combining theory with practice, makes the research on the design and application of in the use of micro lecture in high school chemistry, which is mainly divided into the following three parts:The first part introduces the literature research on micro lecture home and abroad, and the analysis of their differences home and abroad, the theoretical and practical significance and the research methods adopted. Secondly, based on the origin of micro lecture,the paper summarizes the composition,characteristics,types,and the related concepts and theoretical knowledge.In combination with the characteristics of high school chemistry,the paper analyzes the differences between micro chemistry lecture and the traditional chemistry classroom teaching,and the uniqueness of micro chemistry lecture.The second part mainly introduces the design principle of high school chemistry curriculum,following the discipline characteristic and the student-oriented idea, highlighting the “micro” features and integrity, at the same time,ensuring effectiveness and creativity.The paper discusses mainly different types of micro lecture design and characteristics in micro lecture.The paper also investigates the present status of the classroom teaching, the understanding and demand of micro lecture,and measures will be made to apply in micro lecture,in the form of questionnaire in practical application,two classes in Grade one in high school selected and tested before and after.The third part analyzes and summarizes the achievements made during the implementation process in high school chemistry teaching, however, there are still some parts that need to be enhanced and reformed. And it will be beneficial for high school teaching reform if micro lecture is applied in the middle school chemistry teaching.
