At present, The domestic study of postmodern curriculum view and middle school Chinese teaching put focus on some obvious characteristics of post-modern, such as"openness", "dialogism" and so on. And less involved in some problems , arising from foreign theory is not adapt to Chinese cultural context. Therefore, in order to overcome the shortcomings in the existing teaching, we discuss the problem of "4R" theory , the core of the postmodern curriculum view, in practical application on Chinese Reading education. At the same time, it also can help the Reading education grasp their own direction better in the combination of Chinese and western cultural background, and use the positive factors of post-modern curriculum properly, leading to the optimal direction constantly.This paper is divided into three parts:The first part analyzes the characteristics of the "4R" theory, and the feasibility of"4R" theory was applied in the Chinese Reading education in middle school, to lay the foundation for the Rest of the article.The second chapter of the article is mainly about the analysis of the situation of usage about the "4R" theory, and clear the interpretation of "4R" theory in the context of Chinese culture, from the myth and its causes,The third part is some suggestions about how to use of the "4R" theory more efficiently, come forward by absorbing the positive factors of the "4R" theory, to provide Reference for the Reform of Reading education.
