| Secondary vocational teachers are the cornerstone of secondary vocational education.Their professional identity has greatly influence on their teaching activities,the quality of vocational education and the training of technical and skilled people.This study selected 379 secondary vocational teachers who come from different schools of Zhejiang Province.Based on occupational values,role values,the sense of occupational belonging and professional behavior inclination,the study designed this research and used literature research,questionnaire conduct research and interviews to find out the current situation of secondary vocational school teachers’ professional identity of Zhejiang Province.Emphasis on the secondary vocational school teachers in gender,age,seniority,education,job title,graduated from normal school or not,the school type,monthly income level,and so on to analyze the variables identify differences in overall professional identity and the reasons for each dimension.The results show us:The professional identity of secondary vocational school teachers’ level is in the medium level.Different gender and monthly income levels of secondary vocational teachers’ professional identity have no significant difference.There does not exist difference in different ages but in the dimension of role values.There are significant differences in professional identity of the subjects the secondary vocational teachers taught.Different school types of vocational teachers’ professional identity have significant difference.And there are significant differences in the factors of occupational behavior inclination but no significant difference of the other factors.The professional identity of married teachers is higher than unmarried teachers.Different education levels of secondary vocational education teachers’ professional identity has significant differences,low education level’s teachers has low professional identity level.Different job titles of secondary vocational education teachers’ professional identity has significant differences.There are significant differences in professional identity between teachers from normal schools or not.The professional identity of the teachers who are in charge of the class is higher than the non-class teachers.The teachers’ professional identity in Urban schools is higher than that of non-Urban teachers.Finally made some suggestions mainly to increase the current level of secondary vocational teachers’ professional identity,in social side,school side and the teachers themselves. |
