The development of science and technology, and the advance of society promote the development of education undertakings. The popularity of intelligent mobile terminals and the large coverage of mobile Internet provide a solid hardware foundation for the information society. In recent years, the rapid increase in the number of WeChat users has marked the arrival of micro era. Fragmentation, rapidness, intelligence has become the important way of people's living and learning.Under the impact of the new technologies and new media, it is difficult for the traditional middle-school geography classes to meet the students' diverse needs of learning geography. The introduction of WeChat, which is welcome amongst teenagers,is applied to the teaching of geography in middle school, and which is conform to the historical trend of education development.The paper, based on the research reviews of WeChat applied to the teaching and under the guidance of relevant theories, analyzes the advantages and roles of WeChat applying to the secondary-school geography teaching, and through the practice of teaching case, demonstrates the specific application process. Studies have shown that WeChat public platform has many advantages and has feasibility of practical application for assisting the secondary-school geography teaching, which has a positive effect to improve the efficiency of the traditional geography teaching. This paper is divided into six parts:The first chapter is introduction. This chapter mainly discusses the research background, the current situation of studies where WeChat is applied to teaching at home and abroad,the purpose and significance of the paper study, as well as the research content, and so on.The second chapter is the relevant theories basis. This paper systematically expounds the educational informatization, WeChat public platform, and the concepts,characteristics and the status quo of middle-school geography classes, and analyzes the basic theories of supporting the research.The third chapter: The feasibility analysis of WeChat public platform being used in the middle-school geography teaching. The part respectively discusses the characteristics of middle-school geography teaching. WeChat public platform is used in the content of geography teaching effects and advantages, which laid the groundwork for the application feasibility.The fourth chapter, WeChat public platform is beneficial to the design and utilization of geography teaching module. First of all, carry out the front-end analysis of exploitation and development from the two aspects: The teaching demand and implement demand of middle school geography; Second, show the function module design of WeChat public platform from its design principle of resources, the design and development process of menu item; Finally, briefly expound and analyze the geographical material sources of WeChat public platform, and take the geography textbook of eighth grade Geographical Differences in China as a case,showing the practical application where WeChat public platform is applied in the teaching.The fifth chapter, the effect analysis of WeChat public platform applied secondary-school geography teaching verifies the feasibility of application methods designed in the third and fourth chapters. Analyze the experiment results by interviews and questionnaire.The sixth chapter: Conclusion. Summarize the research results of this paper, present the limitations of the study, and put forward the suggestions for improvement on the follow-up study to provide reference for related research.
