With the constantly deepening of the concept of lifelong education, people's demand for learning is also getting higher and higher. The inconvenience of traditional non mobile learning style in many times has limited the learner's learning. Therefore,Mobile learning which can break through the limit of time and space and enable the learner to learn at any time and place under the use of mobile technology and mobile devices has caught more and more attention. The popularity of mobile devices in college students provides a favorable condition for college students to carry out mobile learning. The high quality for college students' English ability is promoting the college students' English learning. College students have the demand for English learning, but the traditional English class is difficult to meet their needs, which to some extent, promotes the adoption of College Students' mobile English learning. However, there still exist some problems in the process of choosing and using mobile learning. Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the current situation of college students'English learning with the help of mobile devices.First of all, this paper uses the literature method to analyze the basic theory of mobile learning. Secondly, in order to understand the students' English mobile learning situation, the method of questionnaire survey is used to investigate their English mobile learning, and the results show that: 1)students lack of scientific knowledge of mobile learning; 2)the environment condition to carry out mobile learning is allowed; 3) mobile resources with the character of dynamic ,diverse and available for downloading is more popular among college students, but it still has some disadvantages such as its ambiguity,small variety, and low quality; 4) English mobile learning of college students' has the characteristics of discontinuous, informal and short term; 5)the adaptability of college students' English mobile learning needs to be improved. Thirdly, using the method of interview and combined with the survey data, it can be conclude that English mobile learning has a positive influence on the learning time, space, concept and process for College students. But there still exist following problems of English mobile learning of college students: 1)The learners' problems: the goal is not clear, the content is not deep,the process is not continuous and the effect is uncertain; 2) The learning environment's problems: the mobile device's version is low and memory is small, the mobile resources are of low quality and lack of specificity, the network environment is not stable; 3)problems in the process of students' learning: students are lack of effective learning strategies ,methods ,and timely feedback ,at the same time, their interaction degree is also low.In order to carry out mobile learning better, we can put forward some measures and suggestions from the learners, learning environment and learning resources to solve the problems in the three aspects in mobile learning . First of all, learners are required to make changes from their aspects of concept, consciousness, and behavior in order to reinforce the internal driving force for study; secondly, schools and teachers are required to take actions in order to optimize the campus mobile learning environment; finally,resource developers or resource providers are required to make adjustments to improve the existing resources and develop new resources.
