Textbook is a concentrated expression of the state will,ethnic culture and social progress.which is also a direct carrier to achieve the educational goal of shaping the generation as the state expects.Chinese curriculum is the combination of instrumental and humanistic functions.As authoritative texts,apart from transmitting knowledge and skills,value orientation,ideology,and culture traditions are presented.Among all the virtues,filial piety comes first.It is the root of Chinese culture,the basic moral values and norms in the ethical system.The study of Chinese textbooks filial piety cultural has great significance in the revival of the Chinese traditional culture,response to the wave of aging and the only child phenomenon.This paper takes eight sets of primary school Chinese textbooks as the research text.First of all,to sum up the scopes and items of filial piety culture elements,then set up an analytic frame,according to the discussion of ancient classics and the modern scholars,the needs of the modern society and the characteristics of filial piety culture in the textbook.Next,based on the analytic frame,comparing the similarities and differences in the filial piety culture elements of eight sets of primary school Chinese textbooks,by the way of frequency statistics and content analysis.Finally,draw conclusions and puts forward some advice.The thesis includes four parts.The introduction states the background,significance of the study,the research object,content,methods and thought.The first part,defines the concept of Chinese textbooks and filial piety culture,then review the research situation of textbook value orientation and filial piety culture at home and abroad.The second part sets up an analytic framework to analyze framework containing three scopes which including filial piety to their own,filial piety to the family,filial piety to the society,and twelve items.The third part,analyze the statistical data of the main subtitle,illustrations,thinking and practice of the elements of filial piety culture in primary school textbooks.Then analyze contentiousness presentations from the content of texts,words,discourse etc.in the primary school Chinese textbooks.The fourth part is made up of conclusions and suggestions,and it has the following conclusions:filial piety culture is mainly reflected in the family scope in eight sets of Chinese textbooks;all of the eight sets of textbooks emphasize cultivate moral character,teach kids with love,respect for nature;pay little attention on do housework,obey parents' teaching,achieve elder's unfulfilled wish;the scope of filial piety culture from filial piety to their own towards filial piety to society;the items of support and take care of sick parents,respect and love elders rapidly grow in the 2001 version;carefully handle the ancestors' funeral rites and miss them,support and take care of sick parents etc.These four items change to foster the emotion of filial piety from convey the concept of filial piety.Finally,suggestions are put forward in the aspects of filial piety culture proportion,content and teaching method.
