History Education in the stage of compulsory education has a huge impact on improving middle school students’ humanity accomplishment.Heroic models in history are considered as a great material to develop students’spirits for a long time because it plays a significant role in building teenagers’ outlook on world, life and values. This kind of setting heroes as educational mode is a worldly-used method for moral education of all ages.History curriculum in the stage of compulsory education has built tons of heroic images. The aim is to help foster students’ national spirit with patriotism as its core and the spirit of the times with reform and innovation as its core. However, multiple values prevails individualism with the development of the times. The prevailing individualism which weighs interest first, is against collectivism and holism that we disseminate in traditional revolutionary heroism education. This phenomenon of prevailing historical nihilism has lead to an odious phenomenon of large-scale defaming heroes and doubting heroic spirits, which spread quickly into junior high schools. Modern teenagers have a poor understanding of heroes and they lost heroic spirits, some of them even have disordered morals and twisted values. The rate of juvenile delinquency thus rose.Human’s worship psychology for heroes that forms in the long history of human beings makes heroes the best choice of model education in junior high school history teaching. The current operating Compulsory Education History Curriculum Standard 2011 edition, operated after 2012, emphasize the importance of outstanding person’s influence on fostering students,values. After proper portraying in history teaching procedures, typical heroes will lead in fostering students’ outlook on world, life and values.They’ll become learning and imitating targets for junior high school students.Revolutionary heroism education is the core of personality education in history teaching. It has a significant influence in helping teenagers inherit and carry on an ideal personality and patriotism form these national heroes,which forms the core values of Chinese socialism.This essay mainly applies the Documentary Analysis and Case Analysis.It takes heroes in Chinese modern history as examples to study revolutionary heroism education in junior high school of the new period.Chapter 1 tried to sort out of the confusions and challenges that heroism education faced in front of the new circumstances; Chapter 2 is an analysis of the reasons why revolutionary heroism education is stuck in this crisis;Chapter 3 is a discussion of the educational value of revolutionary heroism education; Chapter 4 is the advice that the author offered from her actual teaching work to the strategies of revolutionary heroism education in junior high school of the new circumstances.Heroic images that represent the excellent character of Chinese nation are the most influential cultural wealth in China. In the face of the impact brought by globalization and diversity of value concepts, trying to build heroes of the new ages with national personality and multi colors is the way out for revolutionary heroism education in junior high school history teaching.
