The compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards (2011 edition) clearly defined math as a kind of culture. To improve the culture, the PEP edition specially set up the" do you know?".Because there is not very specific teaching guidance in the corresponding teaching reference books and there is not standard of the dealing with"do you know?". Besides, based on the random processing, which lead to weakening of the column's function.This article analyses the writing intention and content of the PEP edition and the investigation of teacher and student , trying to find a better way to achieve value of"you know?" provide effective suggestions for it's writing and teaching.The study is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction. First it introduce the four reasons for the topic,and then introduce the significance of this study, followed by the relevant domestic and foreign research, and then summing up the paper research methods, and finally defining the relevant concepts.The second part is the analysis of writing intention of the column. there are mainly three writing intention of this section, namely the spread of mathematical culture,inheriting Chinese civilization mathematics;Stimulate interest in learning,to deepen the understanding of mathematics;Develop mathematical knowledge, enrich the teaching processIn the third part , the article analyses the quantitative distribution ,presentation ,length capacity and choosing content of the PEP version , optimising the overall arrangement..In the fourth part, one set of questionnaire was designed, which were used to investigate the writing and teaching of "You know?" From the perspective of teachers and students, Then the article analyses the perspective of teachers and students and the use of the column.in the fifth part, The article provides improvement strategies of writing and teaching on the basis of summing up the results of the previous analysis. Suggest that teachers in dealing with "do you know?"With integration of resources, optimize configuration; Dig deep, penetrating culture, etc.
