The new curriculum reform advocates to promote the establishment of the evaluation system,but the traditional paper pen test based assessment mode can only pay attention to students to grasp the knowledge level and can not take into account other students.As a result,because of the traditional evaluation methods to make up for many deficiencies of the performance evaluation of concern.It pays attention to the students’ learning process as well as the cultivation of students’ advanced thinking ability,and advocates that students should be given more guidance,feedback and encouragement through the evaluation,so as to guide the students to develop more comprehensively.The purpose of this study is to research the theory and practice through the investigation of the performance assessment,to understand the implementation of performance assessment in middle school history teaching in our country and the existing problems,and successfully used in reference to foreign performance evaluation based on the experience of teaching in Chinese history,to put forward relevant suggestions and effective implementation evaluation.This paper mainly includes four parts,the first part is the introduction of the article,this paper describes the research background,purpose,significance,methods and literature review.The second part explores the basic theory of performance evaluation,including the concept,characteristics and theoretical basis of performance evaluation.The third part gives the specific implementation principles and steps of performance evaluation,and how to design the performance evaluation in history teaching.The fourth part use the method of investigation and comparison,analyzes the experience of application of performance assessment in the foreign and in China’s middle school history teaching in the specific implementation,and finally combined with the reality of our country gives the effective implementation of performance evaluation suggestions in history teaching.
