Since the implementation of basic education reform,it has been widely concerned by the educational sector.In April 2003,the Ministry of Education formulated the "ordinary high school language curriculum standards(experimental)",the high school language teaching put forward higher requirements,causing the education sector,especially language teachers attention.Under the background of the new curriculum reform,it is necessary for us to deepen the reform of education and carry out the quality education of quality education by discussing the teaching strategy of poetry and by cultivating students’ language literacy comprehensively.Based on the questionnaire survey of 1000 students in the first-third high school of Zhangzhou,this paper analyzes the present situation of Chinese poetry teaching in high school to find out the crux of the problem.At the same time,this paper takes the " ordinary high school language curriculum standard(Experimental)" and the theory of poetry teaching as the basis for exploring the strategies of the teaching of poetry.The main contents of the paper are composed of the following four parts:The first part is the introduction.This part mainly introduces the origin,significance,current situation and methods of the thesis.The second part is a brief overview of poetry and poetry teaching.This part mainly deals with the origin,the characteristic and the value of the poem,as well as the purpose,the task and the function of the poetry teaching.The third part mainly analyzes and discusses the survey results which show the present situation of the poetry teaching.This section will analyze the results of the questionnaire survey,and discuss from three factors of the teachers,students and teaching materials.The last part is going to give the relevant teaching strategies to the relevant questions of poetry teaching.This part will analyze the characteristics of domestic and foreign research status.This part is also going to put forward the relevant strategies of teaching Chinese poetry in high school and teach students the poem by knowing the background of the poet,strengthening reading,seizing the image,savoring the language and paying attention to poetry community.
