With the rapid development of economic globalization and educational informatization,the traditional teaching model already can not adapt to the tendency of epoch development.Therefore,a new kind of teaching model that can promote education and teaching is in urgent need.The flipped classroom teaching mode emerges under the background of educational informatization.The flipped classroom,one of the important practice modes of teaching reform under the environment of educational informatization,breaks the constraint of traditional teaching mode,releases students from the “cramming ”classroom,and encourages them to explore,innovate and practice.Currently,although the researches on the flipped classroom teaching mode have been on the increase in China,little has been talked about on any aspect of English teaching,especially on English grammar teaching in senior high school.Grammar is an important part in English teaching,serving as the foundation in language learning,as well as the key to improving students’ language ability.On the basis of three rounds of action research in teaching practice,the thesis aims to explore whether flipped classroom pattern helps to improve English grammar teaching in senior high school,and whether it has a positive influence on students’ academic performance and eventually enhances their learning autonomy.While conducting the research,the author combines flipped classroom with English grammar teaching.Firstly,this thesis analyzes present researches on flipped classroom at home and abroad and the current situation of English grammar teaching in China,and expounds the related concepts of flipped classroom and action research.Secondly,after selecting research subjects and determining the research questions,the author carries out four months action research on the flipped classroom of English grammar teaching in senior high school.To acquire more date on flipped classroom mode,questions,interviews and classroom observation are adopted in the research.Finally,based on the analysis of the data,the thesis sums up the findings of the research.In addition,the paper reflects on the problems revealed in the research as well as the defects of project.It is expected that this research can provide implications for further studies in the future.
