TPRS(Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling)was created by Blaine Ray,a Spanish teacher in California,U.S.It is combined with TPR Method and Krashen's second language acquisition theory.TPRS takes a large number of “comprehensible input” as the core,give information through the “circling”,supplement information,strengthen the target vocabulary,create a relaxing and harmonious classroom atmosphere,and make students to output the language in the form of telling stories.As a new teaching method,with students as the center,TPRS teaching method emphasize students can get a large amount of “comprehensive input”,acquire language in a unconscious state,make the language output in the form of performance,which can fit the learning goals and the feature of preschool major.This study is divided into two phases: the first stage focuses on the use of TPRS teaching method to improve students' oral English ability.Mainly through the practice in the classroom to adjust,so that TPRS teaching method and vocational school preschool professional English classroom effective integration;through classroom cases,describe the specific use of TPRS teaching method;through teacher interviews and oral pretest post-test to show whether the study improve the students' ability to express their spoken English.The second phase of the study explores how students can experience pediatric English teaching under the TPRS framework.Through the classroom practice,to find out whether the students adapt to the teaching activities and whether to make progress through the teaching activities;through the questionnaire survey,To understand the attitude of children's English teaching activities,self-evaluation and other related issues.Through the study found that: TPRS teaching method is able to effectively integrate with the English classroom in vocational school,the use of TPRS teaching method can improve students' oral English ability,students can use TPRS for children's English teaching exercise to get some positive changes.On the basis of this,the author puts forward some suggestions on how to implement TPRS teaching method.First,teachers should have a high level of teaching materials,control class and English language ability.Second,students want to get a lot of repetitive ease of language input.Third,the TPRS teaching method should be effectively combined with other teaching methods.
