Nowadays more and more schools begin to implement the new curriculum reform and carry out the effective classroom construction in the field of basic education.There are many teaching models of efficient classroom.The “five steps,three checks” teaching model is a kind of teaching model which conforms to the requirements of the new curriculum reform and in line with the cognitive and learning development rules of students.This kind of teaching model is conducive to promoting students' knowledge construction.It can adapt to the teaching practice in various disciplines,and it will help senior high school to improve the teaching quality.However,the English teaching practice of “five steps,three checks” teaching model in some schools especially in ordinary high schools is not able to achieve the desired results.In order to research the current situation and the problems in the implementation,the author carries out a series of investigation.In this thesis,the author focuses on the senior high school English teaching effect of the “five steps,three checks” teaching model.This thesis is based on the relevant background theories of “five steps,three checks” teaching model and takes the teaching effect of the teaching model as the research object.In order to analyze what the current effect of the “five steps,three checks” teaching model is,whether there is any problem of the implementation and how to implement this model in the future,the author conducts an investigation in four ordinary high schools of Xi'an Huxian.Different ways of research,such as literature research,case analysis,comparative analysis and questionnaire,help the author get the references of this thesis.Based on the investigation and research,the author analyzes the current problems in Huxian No.6 middle school,puts forward the corresponding improvement strategies to solve these problems,and explores whether these strategies are effective to improve the teaching effect.The author explores effective ways in senior high school English teaching of the “five steps,three check” high-effect teaching model,and provides some suggestions for the ongoing reform and practices this kind of teaching model senior high school English teachers.
