Professional development program is crucial to the talents training and a manifestation of the educational philosophy of a school.It is "Big but not strong and large without excellence,as well as the general lack of innovations and practice in engineering education" that has been haunting the higher engineering education reform and development of China for many years.It should be our future goals and problems to be solved that how to encourage China to cultivate engineering talents with international competitiveness,how to promote engineering education reform and innovation,how to improve the quality of engineering education talents training comprehensively,and try the best effort to establish a top of the art modern higher engineering education system with Chinese socialism characteristics to become a country of powerful engineering education from a country of large engineering education.From the development of the international engineering education perspective,many engineering universities has been actively exploring and practicing in talents development mode,and reflecting the concept of "Three-in-one" based on the philosophy of engineering and CDIO,and under the influence of pragmatism philosophy.By analyzing the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science(EECS)professional training program of Massachusetts Institute of Technology,Stanford University and National University of Singapore,the paper finds professional competence,social qualities and individual development had been integrated in the target of a training system of higher engineering education in schools.In order to achieve the "Three-in-one" talent training goal,schools are continuously optimizing curriculum system,and actively consolidating resources of internal and external teaching,research and practice,to promote an organic link building among engineering education,engineering research and engineering practice,to establish a multi-dimensional open collaborative education system.Based on the results and combining the profession training program of TJU,the characters and problems of professional training program of China higher engineering university has been analyzed,the paper proposed that Engineering Education Talent Training Programof China should deepen the connotation of professional training,optimize general education curriculum system,enhance the collaboration mechanisms of production education and research education.
