A complete teaching process is made of three basic parts,including the leading-in,knowledge presentation and summary.For English teaching,the leading-in is not only the initial part,but also the basic step in the teaching organization.Even though the time of leading-in is limited and its proportion is not large,the leading-in plays an indispensable role on the classroom teaching.The successful leading-in and the teaching strategies can stimulate students' learning interest and motivation and active the classroom atmosphere,so that students can participate in teaching activities in a pleasant and relaxed state.On the contrary,the lack of appropriate leading-in will make the classroom seem mediocre and boring,decreasing the teaching ineffective,and make students difficult to get into the learning state.Therefore,the leading-in in the English class plays a vital role in the teaching implementation and effectiveness.Unfortunately,there are still many problems in the leading-in of English teaching in our country,and the effect of leading-in is not satisfactory.In order to comprehensively understand the detailed situation of the leading-in in English teaching in junior middle school,this thesis tries to analyze the specific strategies and effects of the leading-in to provide some theoretical and practical guidance for English teaching and further to solve the deficiencies of English teaching.In this study,184 students and 20 English teachers in Ningjin Junior High School were chosen as the experimental subjects,and they were observed and analyzed through classroom observation,questionnaire and other methods.It is found that the leading-in strategies and methods of English teachers in junior middle schools are not flexible enough and the design is not novel and reasonable,and some teachers even neglect to the leading-in part.Moreover,students' participation is relatively low,and their enthusiasm and initiation are not that high,which also cause the leading-in can not fully performed in the teaching process.Considering the fact that the leading-in has a great influence on the teacher's teaching effect and students' learning result in the English class of the junior high,this research tries to analyze the problems existing in the leading-in and give the credible reason,providing some recommendations for effective implementation of the leading-in in the English class of the junior high school.
