Since 2015,the new policy of teacher qualification certificate that national examination system has carried out in China.Teachers must participate in the national examination to get the credentials and it broke the teacher qualification certificate lifelong system.After the reform,the traditional "three curricula" and the educational practice curricula cannot meet the demand of the reform in the examination,and many employers will take the practical teaching ability of normal students as assessment.The advantages of normal students have been hit.In order to improve the quality of teacher training,the Ministry of Education published "the Opinions on the implementation of an excellent teacher training program".Reforming the weak links and deep problems in teacher training to train the teachers of middle and primary schools with high moral character,professional knowledge and outstanding teaching ability.The reform of national basic education and teacher education has put forward higher requirements for the quality of teachers,but also put forward new challenges to the cultivation of normal college students' teaching ability.In this study,the author compiles questionnaire and interview outline to investigate the teaching ability of biology students.In this paper,questionnaires of 192 students and 40 teachers and a total of 4 interviews are conducted.In this paper,the author analyzes the current situation of the teaching ability of normal students through the questionnaire and interviews:(1)The students of biology major have the ability of teaching design and can complete the teaching of biology class in a middle school.(2)In the process of educational practice,the normal students exposed some shortcomings of teaching ability:normal students are difficult to grasp the difficulty of teaching and poor classroom management;They pay too much attention to themselves and ignore the students' attention;The class management ability has not been tempered.They are lack of confidence in biological experiment teaching,because of their biological experimental skills are not skilled.Teaching reflection consciousness is not strong,educational research ability is poor.(3)Lacking of guidance and preparation may be one reason.Teacher education curriculum and teaching methods are improper.Lacking of experimental teaching ability maybe another reason.The reform of teacher education is carried out in some normal universities by reforming the traditional training mode of normal students and optimizing the curriculum of teacher education to improve the teaching ability of normal students Finally,some suggestions are put forward to improve the teaching ability of normal students in Normal Universities.First,standardize the practice management,guarantee the practice condition.Second,strengthening the teaching practice and the construction of teachers' team.Third,pay attention to the cultivation of biological experiment teaching ability.Last,adjust the curriculum of teacher education and pay attention to the cultivation of practical ability.In order to provide reference for the reform of the teaching ability training of normal students in Normal Universities.
